Rose Rock Bank is a division of Union Bank. We serve the needs and cater to the economic strengths of the communities we serve. Through our associates, we strive to provide a high level of personal and professional customer service in a community bank setting while maintaining our commitment to personal integrity, customer service and community involvement.

Rose Rock Bank was formed in June of 2005 when Gold Bank and Olney Bancshares, Inc., completed a deal for Olney to purchase five Gold Bank branches – Oklahoma City, El Reno, Kingfisher, Hennessey and Enid. These five locations have a strong history in their communities and remain committed to the customers who help make up this state-chartered bank.

The name Rose Rock Bank was chosen because we wanted to reflect the strength of our Oklahoma roots. Just as Oklahoma’s state rock is a unique formation of the landscape, our bankers have been molded by their personal experiences as Oklahomans and their strong commitment to this special part of the country.

In November of 2007, Olney Bancshares acquired Union Bank from MB Financial of Chicago.  Rose Rock Bank was then merged into Union Bank as a division.  Union Bank has 5 full service banking locations in the Oklahoma City metro area.

Strength

Union Bank, and its division Rose Rock Bank, finished the first quarter of 2010 in a very strong financial position. Some of the highlights include:

  • Total Capital Funds of $123,760,000
  • Through our holding company owned banks, we can FDIC insure deposits 10 times beyond the new $250,000 limit. This figure multiplies even more with proper account structuring.
  • No securities or investments with Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae

  • Olney Bancshares, Inc (OBI), the holding company for Union Bank, and its division Rose Rock Bank, has total Oklahoma assets of nearly $1 billion. With capital funds of $123,760,000, our risk based capital ratio is 12.94%*. This risk based capital ratio is much higher than required for a bank of our size, which together with applicable FDIC insurance makes us one of the safest places to put your money. As a whole, OBI has over $1.5 billion of bank assets and bank capital of over $158,000,000.
